| Who is Choice Books
of Gulf States? Choice Books of Gulf States is a regional distributor organization authorized to use the "Choice Books" trademark and managed by a board of directors. As a witness to the "good news" of Jesus Christ, Choice Book of Gulf States distributes inspirational and wholesome reading materials to a wide variety of people in the general marketplace. |
| Choice Books of Gulf States started distributing inspirational books in July 1990 under the leadership of Ray Brubaker, the first director. By the end of 1990, Choice Books of Gulf States serviced 24 displays, which sold a total of 3,749 books. Today, Choice Books of Gulf States sells approximately 840,664 books from about 1,000 displays. Harold Burkholder is the current executive director. |
| Choice Books of Gulf States purchases books from the Choice Books Central Office and then sells the books to various retail locations with full return privileges. Books that are returned in saleable condition are resold. Books that cannot be resold at full market value are either sold at a discount or donated. |
| Choice Books of Gulf States selects titles that are consistent with the mission of the organization and titles that attempt to encourage, uplift and impact the life of the reader. |
| Servicing Region
and Office Locations Choice Books of Gulf States services displays in Alabama, Arizona, Louisiana, Mississippi, southwest Georgia, western Tennessee, southeast Missouri, southeast Arkansas, the western panhandle of Florida, and parts of New Mexico. The main office and warehouse is located in Theodore, AL, with District offices in Birmingham, AL; Horn Lake, MS; and Phoenix, AZ. |
